In this issue dedicated to the faroe islands, we sought to approach a place not merely defined by its extreme geography, but by a way of being in the world. Here, where the wind carves stone and the fog sketches invisible contours, silence is not absence — it is language. A language shaped by minimal gestures, by a profound respect for the environment, by a kind of beauty that does not seek to be seen, but rather to be felt. From the outset, we understood that this would not be a simple geographical exploration, but an immersive experience. We delved into faroese architecture — restrained lines and living rooftops — into its cuisine — wild, fermented, visceral — and into the way everyday life and spirituality coexist in a land that defies the edges of the map. We wandered through villages suspended in time and spoke with those reimagining faroese tradition through visual poetry, music, words, and the fire of experimental kitchens. Our fashion editorials followed that same impulse: they were conceived as extensions of the landscape. They did not impose themselves upon it — they listened. The fog, the green slopes, the texture of stone, and the glint of light over water were not backdrops, but protagonists. In every image, We sought to capture the tension between raw nature and a refined, intimate, timeless aesthetic. In other productions — created elsewhere, but deeply inspired by the faroes — we worked from the memory of place, translating it into shapes, silhouettes, fabrics, and visual silences that continue to speak to us from Afar. This issue is an invitation to slow down. To look without rushing. To listen to what isn’t always said. To understand that in a world of constant noise, there are still places where silence is a form of resistance, of identity, and of profound beauty.
