DOPAMINE isn’t just the “pleasure molecule.” It’s the molecule of anticipation.
For this issue, we collaborated with writers and photographers who gave us their vision of dopamine which isn’t just the “pleasure molecule.” It’s the molecule of anticipation.

Issue 26 brings together two electrifying covers that take the dopamine dive from Sadiq Desh captured by Cris Cerdeira to multidisciplinary visual artist and photographer Tomás Pintos’ cover story, Kisses Until Sold Out, developed from the live performance creating a space where glamour meets exhaustion.

We search for the right balance of the happy hormone through a series of in-depth interviews with designers to contemporary artists using various mediums including Achilles Ion Gabriel, Charles Jeffrey, Ela Fidalgo, Emeric Tchatchoua, Gabriele Esposito, Meryll Rogge, Perfume Genius, Théodore, Agoston, and Hijiri of Carne Bollente. What they all have in common is a search and will to live their authentic artistic selves.

Expanding into the neurotransmitter’s universe is fashion-driven photography by Andy Dyo, Aytekin Yalçın, Christopher Barraja, Hengyi Liang, Lander Ibarretxe, Louise Reinke, and Shengzhe.
