Dans la langue française, interlope désigne quelque chose de louche, de suspect – dont l’activité éveille les soupçons. C’est le terme qu’employa un voisin de la rédaction pour évoquer ceux qui leur rendaient visite, et dont il aimait peu l’extravagance et la liberté. C’est aussi la ligne éditoriale de ce nouveau magazine porté sur les marges de la création. Musiciens préférant l’ombre à la boue, écrivains dépourvus d’alibis avoués, photographes sans objectifs et éclopés des stroboscopes, INTERLOPE se veut le point de rencontre entre positions subversives et nouvelles visions. Comme le précise l’édito de ce premier numéro, INTERLOPE s’imagine en perpétuelle mutation, et déclare s’intéresser à tout sinon aux morales dignes de confiance, paraphées, irréprochables et sur leur trente-et-un.
